So far as I know, it’s just a rumor, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t get riled up about it.

What do you think of the iPad as an institutional device?

I think I’d still take notes with a pen and legal pad… Or I’d sell the iPad for money to buy textbooks.

    I heard this rumor too, and it pissed me off. Why not, I don’t know, spend that money on things that would actually improve the school instead of stupid gimmicks?

    Instead of sleeping in class you could catch up on Glee. Better iPads than Kindles like those poor saps at Arizona State got stuck with. If most of the textbooks were on Stanza then this could save a lot o’ bucks.

    I was given an Ipod Touch by a professor at school. It’s pretty rad. But… well… I mean. It’s pretty much an Ipad. Only I can keep it in my purse. And not freak out when I drop it.

    so yeah i hear its for a Comp Sci class and the professor wanted them. As a whole the iPad is just a glorified internet/ porn viewing device in which Apple makes at least a 200% profit. I think a school that is on the edge of floundering has more important things to spend their huge budget on.
