Circ Jockeys #66 – In Tuition

Don’t get me wrong: I am not complaining about the tuition hike. I understand the necessity; however, I don’t really agree with the way in which students were informed of said hike. In the interest of full disclosure, I believe that the student body should be informed of changes to their cost of enrollment before the transfer deadlines of many of the competing schools. I’m not saying that I would leave the college over this; I love this school, but that doesn’t mean that it is infallible and fluid in its operation.

Also: The semester is winding down which means that there is a good chance that I will not be able to make every update these next few weeks. You, dear reader, can remain informed of updates to the comic on Facebook and Twitter.

In other news: 3 and 16 going into a home stand against the Yankees? Sheesh…

I’ll (hopefully) see you all on Thursday!

There’s no “necessity” about it. Hood “wants” to build their mega sports field, and you get to pay for it.

Very true. I do wonder, though, how many alums are actually aware of the way Hood is hemorrhaging dollars… and how many of them are still willing to donate.

    i second what lisa said.

i also find it HILARIOUS to see lacrosse players actually playing or tossing that ball or whatever it is INSIDE whitaker when they have this wonderful new field. Ron Volpe and Dean White both walk by and actually smile at them as though its proper to play that in a crowded area by the blazer.

The reason you are in this situation is because Hood traditions have not been upheld. For instance: “Dinks for DINKS”. Couples with dual incomes and no kids have excess money. You could give them a couple of smart looking Dinks for contributing. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hood_College#Dinks
