If you are a Hood student, and you are interested in becoming involved in this debate, then direct your zeal at the pro and con sides on Facebook. Or if you are more interested in the satire, then check out these groups.
I have really been a “drawing squirrels” kick lately… I’ll snap out of it eventually.
Anyway… that is it for now. Until Thursday, dear reader.
As an aside: The unofficial mascot of Hood College is the Eastern Black Squirrel. The juvenile of the species can be spotted, as depicted, by their Converse Chuck Taylor shoes.
Also: Opening day for Baseball is in approximately 260.083 hours, which is only 108.68 Metric Hours for those of you playing the home version.
Who’s on first. What’s on second. Idontknow’s on Third. Because’s in center field. Why is in left field. Tomorrow’s pitching and Today is catching. If Idontcare’s playing short, then we are lacking a right fielder…
Anyway… See you all Tuesday!
If any of you are planning on attending InterventionCon, attendee pre-registration is going on now. So, you should go get your passes early.
Oh, and you should become an InterventionCon enabler.
In other news, my friend Stu over at Baroquen Comics is trying to organize some sort of Maryland Webcartoonist Summit. If you are (or someone you know is) a webcartoonist in the great state of Maryland, then you should send me an email and I will keep you in the loop.
Also: apparently the school is tossing around the idea of Greek Life on campus. The pros: Philanthropy, community, and service. The cons: Parties, popped collars, and ritualistic hazing.
I, personally, am undecided on the whole thing, but am happy to see that there is some sort of active dialogue on the subject, particularly between the administration and the current students.
Anyway, I’ll see you all on Thursday.
